A 16mm film exercise: a film needed to be inspired by a painting from the National Gallery of our choice. The Portrait of a Woman from the 19th century caught my attention right away, cause it was drawn over a sketch of a different person. It made me think of all the people that will forever stay a part of us, no matter if we want it or not. Being imprinted in someone's memory fits the format of a 16mm film as well.
Used to Be Mine tells a story of a divorced couple, that need to stay in touch because of their child. The loneliness and familiarity with each other makes them question their choices.

Cast: Ffion Angharad and Simon Manley
